Volleyball Recap: Canton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Canton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the North Attleborough Rocketeers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Canton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Attleborough between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Melanie McDonough, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs gave her a new career-high.

Canton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in three consecutive matchups.

North Attleborough's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Kraskouskas and Jocelyn Robichaud. Kraskouskas had 13 digs and two assists, while Robichaud had ten assists and three digs. Kraskouskas is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Canton's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Attleborough, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Canton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against North Quincy on the 12th. As for North Attleborough, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Franklin on the 15th.
