Soccer Recap: Ferguson Triumphs

Ferguson kept a clean sheet against Braddock on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Braddock Bulldogs out 1-0. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ferguson's victory bumped their record up to 11-4-2. As for Braddock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferguson will challenge Varela at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Ferguson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Braddock, they will square off against Southwest at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
