Baseball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Edgewater Eagles, falling 22-2. If the Fightin' Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to them when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jones' record now sits at 0-5. As for Edgewater, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Jones will host Lake Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Edgewater, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wekiva at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wekiva is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
