Volleyball Recap: Mauldin Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Carolina Forest

Mauldin faced Carolina Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mavericks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Mavericks were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16.

Mauldin's defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-13. As for Carolina Forest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mauldin will square off against T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carolina Forest, they will face off against Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
