Baseball Recap: Iroquois West Find Success

Iroquois West lost to Armstrong back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Raiders came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 7-4.

The team relied heavily on Izzy Alvarez, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Iroquois West's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-9 when he doesn't). Mario Andrade was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

The victory got Iroquois West back to even at 9-9. As for Armstrong, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
