Basketball Recap: New Milford Green Wave vs. Bunnell Bulldogs
After flying high against the Abbott RVT Wolverines last Wednesday, the New Milford Green Wave came back down to earth. New Milford was outmatched by the Bulldogs at home and fell 78-42. New Milford has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryder Gee, who scored eight points. Gee is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Jennings, who scored six points.
New Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Bunnell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Milford will take on the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Notre Dame Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests. As for Bunnell, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Immaculate has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
