Soccer Recap: Red Springs Find Success

While Red Springs's victory against Seventy-First wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Springs Red Devils skirted past the Seventy-First Falcons 3-2. While the Red Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-10-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jurielys Quinones and Genesis Morales Lara scored all three of Red Springs' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Red Springs and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two contests. As for Seventy-First, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Springs will challenge Hoke County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seventy-First, they will face off against Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jack Britt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
