Basketball Recap: Kankakee Valley Kougars vs. Twin Lakes Indians
Kankakee Valley lost against Twin Lakes back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kankakee Valley Kougars fell 65-57 to the Twin Lakes Indians. The Kougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Kankakee Valley still got an impressive performance from Brady Sampson, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. Sampson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Joy, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.
Keaton Miller was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards for Twin Lakes. Jack Kaufmann was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 13 points and three steals.
Kankakee Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Twin Lakes, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Knox the next time they take the court. Twin Lakes will head out to face Knox at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Kankakee Valley will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
