Volleyball Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Raymore-Peculiar challenged Raytown South on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Monday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Raymore-Peculiar was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-12.

Raymore-Peculiar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Lewis, who had ten digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Lewis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brexton Winchel, who had seven digs and two aces.

Raymore-Peculiar's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13-1. As for Raytown South, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
