Softball Recap: Osawatomie Comes Up Short

Osawatomie extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-10 in the process. They came up short against the Burlington Wildcats, falling 15-0. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Burlington, their record is now 9-1. Considering they have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Burlington's part, they got a massive performance out of Camden Swank, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Swank has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Sides, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Burlington beat Osawatomie by a score of 15-0 later that day.
