Lake Charles College Prep is hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 32.91 points per game. They will face off against McDonogh 35 in a playoff contest on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Lake Charles College Prep skips in on five wins and McDonogh 35 on eight.
It was all tied up nothing to nothing at the half for Lake Charles College Prep and Northwest last week, but Lake Charles College Prep stepped up in the second half. Lake Charles College Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest last Friday, winning 39-32. Lake Charles College Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Glynn Johnson, who caught three passes for 182 yards and three TDs, and Dillon Simon, who passed for 238 yards and three TDs. This makes it six games in a row in which Johnson has produced a touchdown.
Meanwhile, McDonogh 35 earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing last week. They put the hurt on Mentorship Academy with a sharp 29-6 win.
