There's no place like home for Carlsbad, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Roswell Coyotes on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavemen/Cavegirls have posted since October 1, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-101) Carlsbad actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 16-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-12.

Carlsbad's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Roswell, they dropped their record down to 3-19 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
