Basketball Game Preview: Birdville Hawks vs. Grapevine Mustangs

Birdville is 1-9 against Grapevine since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Birdville Hawks will host the Grapevine Mustangs at 11:15 a.m. Birdville will be strutting in after a victory while Grapevine will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Birdville turned things around against Richland two weeks ago. They walked away with a 36-29 win over the Royals.

Meanwhile, Grapevine was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 35-34 to Lake Dallas. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Grapevine's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Birdville, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-12.
