Volleyball Recap: Berry Takes a Loss

Berry lost against Hopewell back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Daylen Taylor and Malik Simpson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Yscott Nay and his four assists. Cristian Mesa controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Berry's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hopewell, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Berry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Sun Valley on the 7th. As for Hopewell, they will face off against East Mecklenburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
