Basketball Recap: McLean County Comes Up Short

If McLean County was feeling good fresh off their 66-21 takedown of Cloverport on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars were dealt a 59-32 loss at the hands of the Owensboro Catholic Aces on Monday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Aces recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

McLean County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Owensboro Catholic, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, McLean County will take on Breckinridge County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Owensboro Catholic, they will challenge Meade County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aces will need to watch out since the Green Waves have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
