Soccer Recap: Riverton Starts Season with Victory Against Woods Cross

Riverton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a goal and slipped past the Woods Cross Wildcats 2-1. This was payback for Riverton, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Paisley Rogers and Grace Thompson scored both of Riverton's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Riverton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Corner Canyon on the 7th. As for Woods Cross, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Ogden on the 6th.
