Basketball Game Preview: Marcellus Wildcats vs. Centreville Bulldogs

Marcellus hasn't had much luck against Centreville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Marcellus Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Centreville Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Marcellus came up short against White Pigeon and fell 72-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (57), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Centreville had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They blew past the Cardinals 72-47. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Marcellus' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Centreville, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Marcellus ended up a good deal behind Centreville in their previous meeting on January 13th, losing 63-46. Can Marcellus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
