Baseball Recap: Norwalk Has No Trouble Against Dominguez

Norwalk won the last time they faced Dominguez and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lancers blew past the Dons 10-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

David Ibarra and Edwin Figueroa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Ibarra pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Figueroa pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Ibarra posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. At the plate, Ibarra scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Figueroa went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Daniel Albidrez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Aaron Gardea also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Norwalk's record is now 10-8. As for Dominguez, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-1 record this season.

Norwalk will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dominguez: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
