Soccer Game Preview: Greencastle vs. Terre Haute North Vigo

Greencastle is 2-8 against Terre Haute North Vigo since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tiger Cubs will head out to challenge the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Terre Haute North Vigo will be up against a hot Greencastle squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 11. Everything went the Tiger Cubs' way against Frankfort on Saturday as they made off with a 5-1 win. It was an even better day for Micah Foss as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Terre Haute North Vigo's matchup on Monday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They never let Mooresville get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

Greencastle's win bumped their record up to 13-0-1. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1.

Greencastle was able to grind out a solid win over Terre Haute North Vigo when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tiger Cubs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
