Baseball Recap: San Dimas Saints vs. Calabasas Coyotes
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only San Dimas walked away with it. They came out on top against the Calabasas Coyotes by a score of 6-1 on Thursday. The Saints have beaten the Coyotes the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Coyotes has come to flipping the script.
Dean Brosterhouse looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Vaughn Coleman was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. San Dimas is undefeated when Coleman posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Claros, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
San Dimas' victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Calabasas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season.
San Dimas will take on Colony at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Saints 2.7, the Titans 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Calabasas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
