Soccer Game Preview: Edison vs. Herndon

The Edison Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Herndon Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Herndon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Edison, who comes in off a win.

Edison is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Justice get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for Edison in their matchups with Justice: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Herndon's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Langley by a score of 1-0. Herndon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Herndon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-2. As for Edison, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Edison beat Herndon by a goal when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
