Volleyball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield lost against Hartsburg-Emden back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Senators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stags. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Senators haven't been shut out since back in September.

Rachel Becker paced Springfield's offense, picking up three kills. Becker got some help from Franny VonDeBur and her four assists.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Hartsburg-Emden, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-3.

Springfield has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Quincy on the 11th. As for Hartsburg-Emden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Camp Point Central on the 11th.
