Baseball Recap: Perry Ramblers vs. Bath Fighting Bees
Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bath Fighting Bees. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Monday.
Perry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Doerner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Bath, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Perry will head out to face off against Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ramblers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sentinels have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Bath, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stockbridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
