Baseball Recap: Arizona Lutheran Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Santa Cruz Valley last Monday, Arizona Lutheran Academy came back down to earth. The Coyotes took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Veritas Prep Falcons on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 two weeks ago.

Arizona Lutheran Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eoghan Hill, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Hill has become a key player for the Coyotes: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Arizona Lutheran Academy now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Veritas Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Coming up, Arizona Lutheran Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Horizon Honors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Veritas Prep, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chandler Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.7, the Titans 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
