Softball Preview: North Springs Spartans vs. Dunwoody Wildcats

The North Springs Spartans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Dunwoody Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. North Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

North Springs' usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when St. Pius X Catholic hitters got past them. North Springs came up short against St. Pius X Catholic on Thursday, falling 20-12. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Golden Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Leila Madesko made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Browne, who went 3-for-3 with an RBI.

Meanwhile, Dunwoody started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Woodward Academy. They came up short against the War Eagles on Thursday, falling 13-6. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooke Parkes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Worley, who went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
