Soccer Recap: Hope Takes a Loss

Hope lost against De Queen back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bobcats lost 4-1 to the Leopards. While losing is never fun, Hope can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while De Queen are ranked 17th).

Hope dropped their record down to 1-5-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for De Queen, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-1.

Coming up, Hope will venture away from home to face off against Arkadelphia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for De Queen, they will square off against Malvern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. De Queen will be up against Malvern's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.5 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
