Basketball Recap: Jasper County Takes a Loss

Jasper County lost against Southwest Atlanta Christian back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jasper County Hurricanes fell 61-52 to the Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Warriors are ranked 88th).

This is the second loss in a row for Jasper County and nudges their season record down to 15-11. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Southwest Atlanta Christian, their win bumped their record up to 23-2.

As of now, neither Jasper County nor Southwest Atlanta Christian have any future games scheduled.
