Baseball Game Preview: Belton Pirates vs. Harrisonville Wildcats

The Belton Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Harrisonville Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Belton is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Raymore-Peculiar just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 15-4 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Harrisonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Oak Grove, falling 10-3.

Asher Hall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Levi Hall, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Harrisonville now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Belton, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Belton might still be hurting after the 13-6 loss they got from Harrisonville when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
