Pope had lost three straight headed into Friday's contest, but John Stuetzer didn't let it get to three. The Pope Greyhounds blew past the Riverwood Raiders 42-22 on Friday thanks in part to Stuetzer, who rushed for 198 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 73 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 198 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

J.T. Way was another key player, rushing for 163 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.

Despite the loss, Riverwood still got an impressive performance from Zach Stair, who picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 30 yards.

Pope's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Riverwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Pope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Riverwood and Hiram will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on November 15th. Hiram has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 144 points over their last three games.
