Monte Vista couldn't beat Lincoln on Wednesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the first inning. The Monarchs lost 22-8 to the Hornets. While the Monarchs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 7-2 in the first period.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mount Miguel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on El Cajon Valley with a sharp 17-7 victory on Wednesday.
