Baseball Recap: Runge Takes a Loss

Runge and Moulton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Runge had to settle for second. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobkatz. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Bobkatz recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Martin Sanders was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Lorenzo Alvear was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Runge's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Moulton, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

As of now, neither Runge nor the Bobkatz have any future games scheduled.
