Recap: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Cascade Cadets

The Cloverdale Clovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 58-44 bruising from Cascade. Cloverdale found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post seven fewer assists than your opponent.

Several Clovers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Houston Jobe, who scored 17 points. Zach Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Cascade's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Trebley, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Toby Savini, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.

Cloverdale bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cascade, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Cloverdale won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Parke Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Parke Heritage has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Cascade won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Traders Point Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Traders Point Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
