After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paducah Tilghman, Christian County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Marshall County Marshals 6-5. For the Colonels, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 victory the Marshals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2025.

Jordan Turner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Katie Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Alondra Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Christian County's win bumped their record up to 19-12-2. As for Marshall County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian County will welcome Crittenden County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marshall County, they will be playing at home against Trigg County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Marshals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
