Volleyball Game Preview: Granger Spartans vs. Sunnyside Christian Knights

Granger is a perfect 4-0 against Sunnyside Christian since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans will host the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Granger barely beat Columbia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside Christian hadn't done well against Walla Walla Valley Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Sunnyside Christian walked away with a 3-1 win over Walla Walla Valley Academy.

Granger's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Sunnyside Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Granger was able to grind out a solid victory over Sunnyside Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
