Baseball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Southwest lost against Benbrook on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Southwest Raiders took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benbrook Bobcats. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Benbrook, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Southwest will challenge Carter-Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Carter-Riverside has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.07 runs per game on average), something Southwest will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Benbrook, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Benbrook Bobcats challenge Western Hills Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Western Hills has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with 12 straight losses, while Benbrook will come in with four straight wins.
