Basketball Recap: Summers County Takes a Loss

Summers County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Independence Patriots, falling 77-35. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-52 back in January.

Summers County's record is now 2-14. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Summers County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against River View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will square off against Liberty at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Liberty's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
