Softball Recap: Wayne Christian Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Wayne Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Faith Christian Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The Eagles were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Patriots' pitcher proved too tough.

Wayne Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was London Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The defeat snapped Wayne Christian's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-4 record. As for Faith Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
