Preview: St. Maries Lumberjacks vs. Troy Trojans

St. Maries has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Troy Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. Maries suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 80-24 loss at the hands of Grangeville. St. Maries was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-11.

Despite the loss, St. Maries had strong showings from Jacklin Linnemeyer, who scored six points along with two steals, and Averie Baird, who scored no points.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Maries struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Troy was beaten by Lapwai 77-35 last Saturday. Troy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Maries' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Troy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
