Soccer Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Spring Lake Lakers, falling 6-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sparta of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.

Sparta's loss dropped their record down to 3-16-1. As for Spring Lake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6-3 record this season.

Sparta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spring Lake, they will square off against Allendale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
