Basketball Recap: Panguitch Makes It 12 in a Row on the Road

Panguitch lost to Piute back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Panguitch Bobcats walked away with a 60-48 win over the Piute Thunderbirds. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Panguitch had a senior duo take command as Bridger Chappell dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards and Daxton Miller dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Chappell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Remme Chappell, who posted 11 points.

Panguitch's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Piute, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panguitch will welcome Escalante at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Piute, they will host Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
