Basketball Game Preview: Springtown Porcupines vs. Eagle Mountain Knights

The Springtown Porcupines will head out to square off against the Eagle Mountain Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Springtown came up short against Decatur on Tuesday, falling 67-43. While losing is never fun, the Porcupines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 952nd, while the Eagles are ranked 229th).

Meanwhile, Eagle Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-46 defeat at the hands of Krum.

Eagle Mountain now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Springtown, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-15.
