Baseball Recap: Escambia County Takes a Loss

Escambia County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to the Jackson Aggies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 28-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Escambia County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamarion Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. Jovon Brown also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Escambia County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Jackson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

While Escambia County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
