Walnut won the last time they faced Alta Loma and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Braves. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one run.

The win got Walnut back to even at 2-2-1. As for Alta Loma, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

Looking ahead, Walnut is taking a road trip to square off against Whittier Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Alta Loma will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' game: after the Mustangs face off against Linfield Christian, they'll take on Alta Loma again at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
