Recap: Wakefield Bombers vs. Centre Cougars
The Wakefield Bombers took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past Centre 41-8 at home. With Wakefield ahead 26-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wakefield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Rohr, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Adams, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Centre struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Wakefield racked up 13.
Wakefield's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Centre, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Wakefield will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blue Valley at 6:00 p.m. As for Centre, they will face off against Chase County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
