Soccer Recap: Martinsville Comes Up Short

Martinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the George Washington Eagles, falling 11-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Martinsville were already down 6-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Steven Morales, who's now up to six this season.

Martinsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-2. As for George Washington, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-3.

Coming up, Martinsville will square off against Bassett at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for George Washington, they will face off against Magna Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magna Vista will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something George Washington surely won't give up without a fight.
