Baseball Recap: Delcambre Takes a Loss

Delcambre blew Welsh out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Welsh got their revenge. The Delcambre Panthers fell just short of the Welsh Greyhounds by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 3, 2024.

Carson Creighton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Andre' Venable was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Delcambre now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Welsh, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Delcambre Panthers face off against Erath Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Welsh, they will be taking part in a tournament against Northside Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
