Volleyball Recap: Siegel Comes Up Short

Siegel's tournament run continued when they took on Silverdale Academy on Saturday. The Stars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahawks. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Silverdale Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20.

Mia McGrath paced Siegel's offense, picking up nine kills. McGrath got some help from Camryn Keckler and her nine assists. Camryn Faulk controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Siegel's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Silverdale Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Siegel has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Franklin Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Silverdale Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Collierville on the 20th.
