Recap: Arp Tigers vs. West Rusk Raiders
The Arp Tigers were the 50-46 winner over the West Rusk Raiders when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The New Year welcomed Arp with a 66-36 whooping from West Rusk on Tuesday. Arp has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Rusk was led to victory by Keke Murphy and Kamyah Lacy. Murphy scored 16 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds, while Lacy almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. Murphy hasn't dropped below two steals for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Lacy, who scored ten points along with seven steals.
Arp has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for West Rusk, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the court. West Rusk will host Jefferson at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Arp will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
