Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Longview, Mt. Pleasant was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Pleasant Grove Hawks by a score of 47-35. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 57-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mt. Pleasant's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mt. Pleasant Tigers face off against the Lufkin Panthers at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Grove and Fouke will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
