Softball Recap: Indio Gets the Win

Indio came out on top against Coachella Valley on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run second inning. The Rajahs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mighty Arabs a 16-0 shutout. The Rajahs haven't had any issues with the Mighty Arabs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Audra Higgins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Carmen Gordillo, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Indio's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Coachella Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
